THORACIC SURGERY

V.A.T.S. is Video Assisted Thoracic Surgery. In most cases, surgeon operates through 2 to 4 tiny openings between ribs (sometimes an additional two inch small utility incision) while viewing internal organs on television monitor. Depending on the type of procedure, most patents do not need intensive care, can leave the hospital in 2 to 4 days and in many cases, are back to normal activities within a week. Read more........
